A trama segue um guerreiro Māori assassinado, Waka Nuku Rau (Te Kohe Tuhaka), que é enviado de volta ao mundo dos vivos para se redimir de seus pecados. Mas o mundo em que Waka retorna é devastado por uma brecha entre a Vida e o Pós-Viva, enquanto os espíritos dos recém-mortos agora perseguem a terra e caçam os vivos. Waka is sent back from the Afterlife to find honour and redemption.
2 - The Sins of the Fathers
Waka and Mehe travel to her Uncles land, where Mehe discovers her uncles terrible secret.
3 - The Kingdom at the Edge of the World
Waka and Mehe go in search of the boy who knows who broke the world.
4 - The Exorcism of the Boy
Mehe and Waka bring the boy to the Witches who exorcise him of the evil spirit and discover the name of the one who broke the world.
5 - Generational Warfare
Mehe and Waka return to her tribe in the caves to tell them what theyve discovered, only to find the Dead have found a way into the hidden cave complex.
6 - A Question of Identity
Mehe and Waka search for Wakas father, Te Kaipo, a powerful Shaman responsible for breaking the world.
7 - Broken Promises
Waka helps the Shaman by entering a battle with 3 dead warriors as Mehe delves deeper into the occult secrets.
8 - The Sacrifice of Innocence
The hubris of The Great Shaman Te Kaipōs occult experiments become apparent. Season Finale.
